At this point, I’m sure you’ve heard of DRT. A company based out of Japan that has taken over the big bait scene. They took the industry by storm with their KLASH Series or more specifically speaking the Tiny Klash and Klash 9. These baits along with most products by DRT are designed to be extremely versatile. They come in Hi and Low float with removable lips and various tail options for each specific model. Their newest release is the Klash Ghost. A 13 inch bait weighing in at a little over 8 ounces. There is no shortage of options when it comes to the Ghost. It comes with the whale tail, v-tail, lip, and bumpers. With the lip in and v-tail, the bait will dive down to 20 feet on 25 pound test. By changing the tail, you give yourself a completely different swimming action and a lot less roll in comparison to the v-tail. There are two separate line ties as well as the option to turn the Ghost into a top hook hard bait to dredge the bottom.
The addition of the bumpers really mellows the action out and doesn’t allow for the bait to have as much movement. It gives it a lot more of a subtle action. I really like this bait on the wake. It can be crept as slow as you can turn the handle or burnt causing all kinds of commotion. With over 30 different modes, it can be a little overwhelming to try to learn this bait. The Ghost isn’t for everybody and is a little pricey coming in at $249.99 (drtusafishing.com) but for those of you that aren’t intimidated by the size this will be a bait you want in your arsenal.
